The IRS Lifts Moratorium on ERC's

     "When properly claimed, the ERC – also referred to as the Employee Retention Tax Credit or ERTC – is a refundable tax credit designed for businesses that continued paying employees during the COVID-19 pandemic while their business operations were fully or partially suspended due to a government order, or they had a significant decline in gross receipts during the eligibility periods." 
     The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) imposed a moratorium on September 14, 2023 for new claims due to a large number of companies scamming small businesses with fraudulent claims.
     The ERC program provides vital support to qualifying small businesses impacted by the pandemic, and we continue to applaud the IRS’ efforts to warn businesses about companies who do not share stringent safeguards and commitment to transparency, accuracy and integrity that are hallmarks of our ERC partner.
